Changes at GP

This has been a busy year for all of us!

Gary M Prusiensky, CPA, P.C. aka GMP CPA had a Google problem.

We have changed the name of our firm to GP CPA, P.C. effective March 2019. “Gary M Prusiensky, , P.C.” and “” had a substantial overlap on Google search with another firm in Texas and we needed to act before Google acted for us. Like some of the big firms (KPMG, E&Y, PWC) we have adopted the initials of our founder (two big thumbs up to Gary!) and made it easier to pronounce and say our firm name. To those clients who have managed to get by without attempting to pronounce our last name all these years, you are safe now.

How do I get in touch with GP CPA?

As many of our clients have found out, we text. Besides using email and calling us, you are more than welcome to text us @ 910-304-0262. This text number is shared across our office and comes through to our emails and phones and is often the best way to get in touch quickly. For security purposes, the 910-304-0262 number is NOT able to accept images, so text (literally, letters and numbers only) is the only thing will come through. If you need to send us a picture of a document or scanned image, please continue to use email

We are excited to announce that GP CPA will be featuring cash flow analysis and forecasting with Futurli, currently the best small business analytics platform on the market. We are saying goodbye to spreadsheets and hello to real time updates on long term projections and visualizations of how to meet financial goals. If this sounds like gobbledygook or really complicated, it was…until Futurli was added to the mix. You have goals and targets that you want to meet (retirement anyone?) and GP CPA + Futurli will get you there. Let’s look at your business in 1, 3, or 5 years and see how to get there starting today.

GP CPA has goals, too. We currently have less than 50 reviews on Google and are looking to hit that target by year end (Justin’s future in the firm depends on it!) If you have a moment, we kindly encourage you to leave us a review on Google. Like your business, many of our newer clients have found us via the positive reviews left online and it would help us grow with our clients by adding to our positive review count. Clicking here will get you started.

Checkup

The Department of Revenue has been busy with enforcement actions (audits) since the last major law changes from 2017. As you already know, nearly all labor charges related to services, auto repair, , plumbing, electricians, and many types of contractors are all subject to the same sales taxes as parts. There is no better time than now for a review to see if your business is in compliance. law does not have a “gray area” and the only help available for errors or issues is before the state takes a closer look. Contact Gary or Justin today for any and all inquiries.

Onward and upward!

This firm is absolutely the best that I've dealt with when it comes to CPAs and financial advice. I'd gone to another CPA in the area for help with my small business during tax time, they stopped communicating and I was left with important documentation not filed and a lot of anxiety around what to do. My appointment with Justin was set up quickly and I was in within a couple days to sit down with him. When you first meet him, you get the impression that he's incredibly intelligent and knows what he's talking about. He took the time to guide me through each and every step that I needed to take to move forward and actually ended up saving me money. I am so grateful to him for his knowledge and professionalism. Total life saver! If you're a small business owner, you should not be taking your time, money or business anywhere else but GP CPA and their crew 🙂read more

Unfortunately, I found GMP when my mother passed. She had a trust set up and I had no experience with one. I received excellent advice prior to filing taxes, that allow for the transfer of assets with little tax implication. The tax process was simple for me, Justin took over once he had details and cleared up all question from filing our taxes. Thank you for a job well done!read more
